Green EZ plate color intanglio process

Use green EZ plate green plate , engrave the plate with a needle pen, add embossing tools, white glue, etc. to make the texture, and then use water-base ink to fill into the recess block by block. When wiping the ink, deliberately keep part of the ink color on sueface (don’t wipe it too clean), let the layout naturally retain the background color to increase the level of the work, and finally print the image with a  press printmakink. In fact, after deducting the troublesome cleaning process, the completeness of the green EZ  plate intanglio works is very high, and children can operate the printing, it is worth trying!

When using water-based ink to inking prints on the resin plate. The color must be in place at one time. If you are afraid that the water-based ink will dry out if the student takes too long, the suggestions are as follows:

1. Color plan: Students are asked to make simple colors on the sketches first, which can shorten the time for inking and thinking.

2. Ink blending: first add about one-third of the oil to the extruded water-based print ink for blending (you can use water-based ink special blending water or linseed oil), and then let students use it, which can slow down the ink drying time.

3. Use your fingers to adjust the ink directly, please use different fingers for different colors (wet rag can be prepared, and fingers can be wiped clean). The amount of ink applied should not be too thin, it is easier to fill the ink into the dents, and it can also slow down the ink drying. If the ink is in yellow, white and light colors, the line performance is not obvious.

4. It is recommended that the inking time should not exceed half an hour (quarto).

5. This technique does not use cleaning gauze to wipe the plate, so you must use your fingers to actually press the ink into each nick.

6. Ink absorption: please suck up the ink on the surface of the plate (the paper is attached with the cover and rotate and press 3-4 times) to avoid color mixing when rubbing the ink. It is recommended to use recycled photocopy paper. The photocopy paper is smooth, absorbs ink, and is not easy to break. The paper is strong enough to not absorb the ink in the shallow dents.

7. Wipe the ink: Tear half of the A4 photocopy paper, flatten it and clamp the lower right corner with your thumb, use four fingers to gently wipe the ink through the paper, so that the color block junctions can be blended naturally, so control carefully The ink rubbing pressure creates chroma changes. Finally, clean the four sides and back of the plate.

8. Place the plate on the printing machine, carefully adjust the pressure, and prepare for printing.

The above is a detailed explanation of the "coloring process" of (coloring intanglio ). I will try my best to explain it in detail. It is a bit long. Please read it carefully.
