Drafting
Use carbon paper to trace onto the block.
Use 6B pencil to draw gently to enable carbon copy
of images on the block, attention: excessive strength will cause a dent on the block.
It will be difficult to level drawing with ballpoint pen for faces reporting wide area of dent. Use of line making tool or flat-cut platen made of wooden chopsticks is recommended.
In addition to the notches, there are also drafting lines on the block, which will be relatively messy. Use tissue paper dipped with ink to paint on the engraved block, then apply prickly heat powder into the dented line so as to clearly preview conditions of engraved block
Completion of engraved block. Directly use u-gouge to eradicate those luminous areas of face, book and hand in order to highlight the moonlight more.
Inking
Printing by oil-based ink is recommended if there are fine lines by needles engraved on the block.
Imprint.
Carefully adjust the pressure of the press printing machine, and lightly press it over the plate. Excessive pressure will flatten the plate.
Personal habit for relief printing uses EVA (foam board) instead of wool felting. The delicate lines are clearer.

Block engraving : please find various tools to destroy the surface and create a texture.
